2011 Beaton Classic
Here’s a short slideshow that showcases some of the images I captured during the cycling leg of last weekend’s 2011 Beaton Classic. All of my photos from this event can also be viewed here.
Two Girls Hockey Teams
A couple of weeks ago I photographed the bantam Her-icanes and the Atom A Sudbury Lady Wolves hockey teams of the SGHL (the Sudbury Girls Hockey League). These were the first two teams I’ve ever photographed outdoors and it was a blast! The weather cooperated perfectly as the cold snap just ended prior to these sessions so the temperature was only a few degrees below zero, instead of a frigid -25 C which which had prevailed for the weeks just prior.
2010 City High School Football Championship
On Saturday night at the James Jerome field in Sudbury, the Lasalle Lancers put their undefeated season on the table as they clashed with the Lo-Ellen Park Knights for the 2010 senior boys SDSSAA city title. It was a low scoring game with lots of action, with the Lancers prevailing over the Knights for a 13-7 victory capturing the illusive crown. Here are a few of the photos from that contest.

Capreol Minor Hockey
Look for us at the Capreol Arena on Tuesday, November 9/10 as we will be photographing six teams of the Capreol Minor Hockey Association. Sample photos from that session will be posted here afterwards, so check it out!
Sudbury Lady Wolves Atom B – SGHL
The SGHL’s Sudbury Lady Wolves Atom B girls hockey team was photographed back on January 15/10 at the Azilda Arena. They were a fun bunch of girls and they especially liked my Maple Leafs jacket which I wore that day… I can see that they have good taste!

BDC Lady Bruins – SGHL
On January 8/10 I photographed the BDC Lady Bruins of the Sudbury Girls Hockey League (SGHL) our at the Capreol Arena. This was the second year that I’ve photographed this team and here are some of the images from this most recent session.
Technica Tiger Cats – SGHL
Back in early January I photographed the Technica Tiger Cats, a bantam girls team in the Sudbury Girls Hockey League (SGHL). Here are some of the images from that team and individual photo session.
Sudbury Wolves vs. Sharks
Tonight we were out at the Carmichael Arena where the SMHA minor midget Sudbury Wolves played the Sudbury Sharks, with the Sharks winning handily, 6-0.
Lo-Ellen Park Knights vs St. Charles Cardinals
This past Friday afternoon we were at the Lo-Ellen Park field where the Knights hosted Cards. It was a lopsided affair, with the Cards winning, 31-0. Here are a few images from that game.
In this sequence, the Knights receiver fights off a Cards defender to make a great catch.

Knights vs Bears
Tonight we were at Lo-Ellen Park Secondary School for the Thursday Night Lights high school football game between the Knights and the St. Benedict’s Bears. This was our first time photographing a football game, but it was a blast. The lighting conditions proved to be challenging as we didn’t get there until after the sun had set. I’m sure of the outcome as we had to leave early in the 4th quarter with the Knights ahead 20-10 I think. Anyway, here are a few images from tonight’s game. I’m looking forward to next time… preferably earlier in the day!
