Today I was at Northeastern Elementary School in Garson,ON to cheer on my daughter’s team, the Nesbitt Nitros as they battled the Alexander Gators for the RDSB Senior Girls Basketball Championship. Oh ya, I went to photograph the action, too! 🙂 It was a great game with lots of action which kept the capacity crowd on its feet (sort of). The Gators prevailed 35-26 to win the gold medal. The Nitros picked up the silver.

Today I was at Confederation Secondary School to watch the RDSB senior girls championship basketball game in the 2012 Confederation Warm-up Tournament for Boards. This game pitted the Carl A Nesbitt Nitros versus the Churchill Chargers. It was an exciting game that saw the Chargers mount a courageous comeback in the second half, falling just short as the Nitros prevailed 15-12. Congrats, Nitros, on your first championship this year!

Last night at the Countryside Arena, the Sudbury Nickel Capital Wolves and the Nickel City Sons squared off in game one of their GNML semi-final series. The Wolves won this tilt, 3-1. Here are some images from that game.

This past Thursday and Friday, Lasalle Secondary School hosted a basketball tournament for senior elementary school girls. These photos were from Thursday’s game between the Carl Nesbitt Nitros and the MacDonald Cartier Panthers. Even though the Panthers went on to win this game, the Nitros (my daughter’s team) went on to win a bronze medal! Congrats Nitros on a great basketball tournament! Enjoy the photos.
